Mock Archaeological Dig for Young Kids

Young visitors (3-6) can see what its like to take part in a mock archaeological dig! This program happens outdoors at the Ohio History Center. Museum staff will walk participants through the steps and tools used to dig archaeological test pits.

Program included with museum admission. Attendance at the talk on Saturday is not required to participate in the mock dig. Pre-registration for mock dig is required and available online soon. Limited space available. Adult parent/guardian must be present with the child at all times. Please be prepared to wear appropriate clothing and shoes to dig in sand.

Space available:

20 active participants (3-6) each time

Please register all children who will be participating - Adults do not need to register but must be present with the child(ren) at all times.
