Welcome to Storybook Village, where your favorite storybook characters magically come to life! Bring your little ones to meet celebrated characters from popular fairy tales as they roam Ohio Village and interact with visitors. Ask Rapunzel to let down her hair, help Prince Charming in his quest, and visit with Cinderella! You’ll also get the chance to meet some of your favorite characters like Pete the Cat and Elephant and Piggie!

This year Storybook Village is celebrating the joy of learning through school readiness. Take advantage of early literacy and school readiness resources featuring the Columbus Metropolitan Library, Franklin Park Conservatory, and a sensory friendly space from The Autism Society of Central Ohio, among others. Cultivate a love of learning by listening to read-alouds and storytelling, participating in hands-on activities, and meeting the characters that make Storybook Village special.

Sat., Aug. 14 • 9 a.m.

Safety Guidelines

In accordance with updated CDC recommendations, masks are recommended for unvaccinated visitors. Masks are not required for visitors who are fully vaccinated. Visitors who feel most comfortable wearing a mask, regardless of their status, are welcomed to do so. As of August 5, 2021, Franklin County and Columbus are under an indoor mask advisory. We highly recommended wearing masks, regardless of vaccination status, at all our indoor locations and will have free masks on site. We are continuing our enhanced cleaning protocols, providing hand sanitizing stations, and encouraging good hand hygiene such as proper hand washing. In addition, there will be a 6’ distance between guests and all mascots. If you are not feeling well on the day of your visit, we ask that you reschedule and visit when you are feeling well again. You can contact us at reservations@ohiohistory.org for help rescheduling.

We will continue to follow guidelines provided by our local, county and state health officials and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Reopening plans are subject to change based on the evolving COVID status of Ohio and Franklin County.
